ETHERMA DS - THE THIN NETTTED HEATING MAT FOR MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY
Tiles and stone floors are modern and elegant - but unfortunately, they're also cold. Ceramic coverings as well as cold parquet and laminate floors have a high heat penetration index, which means that they dissipate heat easily. The result is an unpleasant cold feel under your feet. In this case, a few degrees above room temperature are often enough to give ice-cold tiles a pleasant warmth, and you will find cold wooden floors comfortably warm. The areas of application of ETHERMA underfloor heating systems range from temperature control and heating of cold floors and rooms through to special heating systems.

Ingenious warmth in the Bad Skihotel Hinterthal, Salzburg
THE INITIAL SITUATION
A romantic hotel in Hinterthal, in the middle of the Alps, received constant complaints about its cold bathrooms - not only during changes of season, as well as steamed-up bathroom mirrors and perpetually damp hand towels. The hotel owner closed his establishment for renovations, and wanted an optimal solution - to improve the comfort of his guests.
THE ETHERMA SOLUTION
During the course of renovation, the existing heating system was replaced with an electric underfloor heating system as well as LAVA® infrared designer heating units. The result was a saving in operating costs and a heating concept which was on the one hand invisible (thanks to underfloor heating) and on the other hand almost a piece of art which radiated heat (LAVA® designer heating units).
