INFRARED HEATING Clever heat like the sun.

THE ADVANTAGES OF INFRARED HEATING

HEALTHY WARMTH

Infrared heaters or the infrared waves have a high effective depth and warm the body gently from the inside out.

SAFE & CERTIFIED

TÜV and CE quality labels are evidence of the high quality, standard processing and safety standards of our infrared heaters.

COMFORT

Infrared heaters provide heat at the push of a button, just when you want it or fully automatically thanks to intelligent control technology.

EFFICIENT

Infrared heaters work very efficiently - not least because of the simple and precise controllability. 100% lossless.

QUALITY

The use of high-quality and durable materials make the ETHERMA infrared heaters a quality product that accompanies you for a lifetime of heating.

COST SAVING

Infrared heaters offer the highest level of comfort. No maintenance, no service, no procurement of heating materials. This saves time and costs.

THE FUTURE HEATING

In combination with PV systems and green electricity tariffs, infrared heating is the heating of the future - with the lowest investment costs.

DESIGN

Our infrared heaters are pioneers in terms of design and diversity - choose from a wide range of colors, outputs and applications.

WHY WE DON'T FREEZE IN THE WINTER SUN.

Have you ever asked yourself why you don't freeze on a sunny winter's day in a ski hut, even in sub-zero temperatures? This is actually the principle of infrared warmth at work. When infrared warmth hits our skin, it instantly releases a pleasant sensation of heat, and it is therefore also called "radiant warmth". ETHERMA infrared heating systems are based on this principle of direct warmth. This technology provides particularly efficient heat, saving on energy costs and reducing the generation of dust.

HOW DOES INFRARED WARMTH WORK?

On a cold, sunny winter's day, you feel cold in the hut - but take a single step into the sunshine and it is suddenly pleasantly warm, even though there has been no change in the air temperature. In a sun-drenched ski hut, the favourite places to be are the walls - why is that? Here, so-called "secondary radiation" from the warm wall increases the sensation of heat even further.

Infrared heating is based on the principle of solar radiation. Thermal radiation does not primarily warm the surrounding air. Instead, ceilings, walls, objects and humans absorb the radiant heat. The environment stores the warmth, and releases this into the room (= secondary radiation). This homogenous warming of the room creates a pleasant climate, in which losses from rising warm air (as in convection heating) are largely avoided.

Comfort does not have to be expensive

Infrared warmth provides not only direct heat, but also warms the walls, which then release the warmth again (so-called secondary radiation or the "warm walls" which you remember). An empirical investigation by Bedford and Liese provided that people feel the same degree of snugness with warm walls even when the room's air temperature drops.

SAVING ENERGY - BUT NOT CHARGEABLE TO YOUR COMFORT

The sensed temperature is even 2-3 degrees higher than the actual room temperature. The room's air temperature can thus be reduced without affecting that sense of snugness. And every degree that the air temperature drops translates to an energy saving of approximately 6%. Thus, radiant heat can save you up to 18% in energy terms.

Infrared is unhealthy?

On the contrary! The sun is the largest supplier of infrared heat radiation. Without them, there would be no life on earth. The soothing effects of infrared have long been recognized by medicine and the wellness industry in the form of red light treatments and heat cabins.

ETHERMA infrared heaters have the same beneficial properties and are particularly gentle. The long infrared C waves of the LAVA® infrared heaters get under the skin and have a high depth of action.

Why pay more voluntarily?

Nautauts are perfectly insulated nowadays. This makes many traditional heating systems oversized and uneconomic. Even after an energetic refurbishment, the heating demand drops mostly trastically. It simply does not make sense to install an investment-intensive "power plant" - heating and heat demand should match.

Investments in alternative systems such as infrared heating are significantly lower.

IT'S WORTH COMPARING.

Consumption cost comparisons which only take operating costs into account often conclude that heating with electricity appears more expensive than with oil and gas, due to the higher price per kWh. But if you take into account the costs associated with capital and operation, infrared heating offers significant economic advantages. If you calculate the overall cost, comprising the investment, operating and maintenance costs over 15-20 years, no heating system comes out a clear winner in terms of price.
