WARM YOUR HOME. NOT THE EARTH.

SINGLE ROOM HEAT PUMP WITH COOLING OPTION ETHERMA FIRE+ICE

A HEAT PUMP WITHOUT OUTDOOR UNIT. IS THIS POSSIBLE?

To put it in a nutshell: Yes, it is possible!

ETHERMA offers for this purpose the new air-to-air heat pump FIRE+ICE without outdoor unit. With this heat pump you can heat and cool the room without an outdoor unit. This type of heat pump has a maximum efficiency with a COP value of 3.28.

What does COP value mean?

COP stands for Coefficient Of Performance. This value indicates the efficiency of a heat pump. The higher the COP value, the higher the efficiency and the more economical the heat pump. For the ETHERMA FIRE+ICE monoblock heat pump, it means that you put in 1 kW of power and get an efficiency of 3.28 in return.

The big advantage of the FIRE+ICE heat pump without an outdoor unit is that it can be installed very quickly and easily. The only thing you need to pay attention to is that the unit must be placed on the outside wall. This is due to the holes drilled to the outside. Drill holes, hang the device and simply connect it. Already you can heat and / or cool!

THE FIRE+ICE AIR-TO-AIR HEAT PUMP WITHOUT OUTDOOR UNIT.

ETHERMA FIRE+ICE is an air-to-air heat pump. This means that the heat pump draws heat from the outside air. The difference to an air-to-water heat pump is that an air-to-air heat pump does not deliver the heat to your central heating water, but to the air in your home.

On hot days, you can reverse the operation of an air-to-air heat pump without an outdoor unit. This means you can cool your home very efficiently with the FIRE+ICE thanks to the climate function.

The FIRE+ICE air-to-air heat pump is a monobloc heat pump without an outdoor unit. This means it only requires 2 holes in the wall to the outside for air exchange and a small hole for condensate drainage.

An air-to-air heat pump without an outdoor unit is perfectly suited as a decentralized heating system for individual apartments - whether private or residential. Especially in renovation projects, it is the ideal replacement for oil and gas heating systems and offers apartment owners the opportunity to switch away from fossil fuels to a sustainable heating system.

COMPLETELY OIL AND GAS FREE WITH A HEAT PUMP

An air-to-air heat pump without an outdoor unit does not transfer heat to your central heating water. This means that you cannot produce hot water for your home with this heat pump.

In order to make your home completely oil and gas free, you also need a solution for your hot water. This can either be done using instantaneous water heaters or small storage tanks, or centrally for the entire apartment using a hot water heat pump. In any case, a perfect combination with our heat pump without outdoor unit. And sustainable with green electricity.

Easy installation - fast deployment

Three steps for a perfect installation.

The FIRE+ICE air-to-air heat pump without outdoor unit can be easily mounted on the inside of any vertical exterior wall with a smooth surface. This makes it ideal for retrofitting.

Only two core holes and one small hole for condensation are required.

The entire installation is done from the inside without the need for refrigeration technicians. This eliminates the need for ladders or cranes at great heights on the facade, as is necessary with otherwise conventional outdoor units. The FIRE+ICE heat pump can be installed by an electrician or plumber, for example. No refrigeration engineer is required.

And the monoblock heat pump also scores points visually - the exterior of the building is hardly changed. Unsightly, bulky outdoor units, as known from split heat pumps or air conditioners, are thus a thing of the past.

  • Two core holes, each 200 mm in diameter, for the supply and exhaust air

One 20 mm diameter hole for the small condensation hose

The air ducts and control valves are inserted from the inside

  • Fastening of the wall rail with 6 screws (included in delivery)

  • Electrical connection of the FIRE+ICE via a plug-in cable or fixed connection.

Hook the device into the wall rail, tighten the screw at the bottom - done!

HOW DO THE HEAT PUMP LOOK on your wall?
